BOOK OF LON: CHAPTER 4, VERSE 10

Greetings Greetings from the freezing cold Great Lakes, IL!  Checkin in, its been about a month.  Last i checked in i think i was still in ATT (apprentice technical training) school bout to wrap that up... or i did  and 1.5days later i was in FC-A school!  BOMBED the 1st test out the gate cause the cirriculum wasnt nothin like in ATT but the next day passed it.  Every since then been passing all my tests so im so happy about that.  This course is nooooooooooo joke.  Real hard ish.  Lotta studyin involved.  On top of that im a Yeoman in the Barracks workin under the SDC's.  A yeoman is basically an administrative assistant.  So it plugs right back into the white collar stuff ive been doin before gettin in the military.

Lotta drama here an there goin on, last week we had a Heroin bust on my deck in the barracks! k9 search and all.  Navy is zero tolerance so he's bein discharged and probably bought up on felony charges.  Thankfully theyve let up on the barracks punishment ish.

Went to the Mall on a mission a couple weekends ago and got a custom Navy fitted made ($18) has my name shown on the back! pimpin!

Today we're on 3day liberty because of Easter but we had to clean prior to bein released.  Well we cleaned for 2hrs and as we were outside the room our LCPO, a Senior Chief came up on our deck and made a B line STRAIGHT into our room.  We were horrified!  He stopped in the middle of the common area and said "you have got to be kiddin me."  we were silent.  He asked "who did these decks?!"  I told'em "we did it last weekend"  He scoffed and said "this room has got to be one of the cleanest room ive seen in a long time!  We exhaled and smiled at each other.  He asked if we'd open our closests but gave us a disclaimer that we didnt have to at all.  We had nothin to hide so unlocked and opened our doors. he was baffled.  "these closets are just as clean as the room is!" he then asked, "whens the next time you have duty?" we told'em not for another 2wks, but then i added, "well, im a yeoman so i have duty tonight"  He told us to remind'em next dog duty weekend cause we're gettin a duty free weekend! we hi-fived each other in excitement and they started bear-huggin me it was crazy lol other people came and looked at our room in jealousy and astonishment.  a few minutes later i saw someone gettin another buffer to do their floors hahahaha

now why is that significiant?  The weekend before i got absolutely bored on a saturday night.  I was in the room alone all roommates were gone.  So bout 9 at night i went down to the gear locker, got the floor stripper, wax, buffer, mop and cadillac as we call it and got to work..... by myself... strippin all the floors, puttin down 2 coats of wax.   was up till 3am sunday.  got up that morning put another coat down.  went to breakfast and came back and put 2 coats of mop n glo down.  A woman could do her make-up from the reflections on the deck!  when my roommates came back they saw what i did and paid me $10 each for the labor i put in, and what did it do? got us all a duty free weekend!  what made them respect me even more was i didnt take the credit, i shared that it was a group effort when i said WE instead of I when Senior asked when did we do the floors.

Got our taxes done as well couple weeks ago so settled alot of debts.  made a phonecall to a Septic company back in WA regarding our sewer pump.  Apparently alot of houses have a pump that grinds up waste before pumping it into the city sewer.  Well the light came on alerting there was a problem wit it back in Dec when i was home.  We didnt do anything about it and the electric bill literally went up 100%.  We been payin up the (expletive) since then.  Well they came out and a total blessing in disguise the company came out dug up the cover, fixed the problem, and closed it all back up free of charge!!!!   the payment?  "thank you for your service in the military" i was floored and endlessly thanked them for the kind deed.

so my plug for them.  if you have any septic/sewer type issues:
