BOOK OF LON: CHAPTER 2-VERSE 21

Been lazy and not feelin like typin but got a wild hair to do it since im bored so heeeeeeeeeeeeeeere we go!

Lots of chaos around here lately and it stays pissin me off.   I did get classed up on 1/28 so been goin to school m-f 7-4.  they also have whats called "open learning" where you can stay after class from 4-6 nightly to continue on in your studies or come on sat and sun from 9-3.  Im so motivated to get up outta here i go EVERY day that i possibly can, including on the weekends.  Lately this barracks has been deteoriating more and more.  new people comin aboard others leavin, just a whole lot of drama.  A couple wks ago the whole barracks, 700+ people got locked down over the valentines day weekend because the weekend before there were 4 ARI's (alcohol related incidents), 2 physical fights in the barracks, and 1 UA that was less than 24hrs away from being considered a deserter.    In the end for that weekend we got liberty after 1600 on that saturday, till 2100 monday, but thurs to 1559 saturday we were on duty.  I had planned to go to open learning that friday but they freakin cancelled it that day i was pissed.  Saturday  and Sunday i got to go though, Monday did nothin but laundry and dinked around on my ps3.  even got so bored i did my own "seabag inspection" (where you pull out all uniforms and try'em on assuring all properly worn and fitted)  all those pics have been posted up on my myspace page.

later that week mooooooooooooore drama.  We ended up gettin locked down not just to the barracks....to our ROOMS.  Still never got the full 411 on that one but i wasnt surprised at all, just shrugged it off,  im normally in my room anyway if im not in school.

Son finally had surgery on his poor lil ears last week.  I feel so down that i cant be there to help out.  The doc said when he opened up his eardrum there was a bunch of discharge, puss, and a lil blood from the infections that had been there since Sept.  I was more upset at the fact that my kids original doctor has been puttin this off and puttin this off and now the doc thinks he could have minor hearing loss from the infections.  I told wifey to drop him IMMEDIATELY and start seein the military doc i set up under my benefits cause this is ridiculous that both kids are suddenly very sickly and nothings bein cured.  He's doin much better from what wifey has been tellin me but upon his exam they advised he has borderline pneumonia.  ugh.

This weekend started out wit even more BS.  Friday they re-initiated an incentive of if you are 3 days ahead in class studies or more, come fridays  you can leave after lunch and have the rest of the day off from school.  Well, again bein my sole motivation is to get up outta here i go back after lunch to class to continue on in my studies.  We leave and march back to the barracks (which is more b.s that they march us in ranks from barracks to school and from school to lunch.  they taunt, yell, and harrass us like were in bootcamp still tellin us to sound off louder, pick up our feet, all this other b.s.) the fleet returnees have egos out of this world like their some hot ish just because they joined a few yrs before the rest of us so they can treat us like nobodys.  This base is like bootcamp 2.0, just with a couple freedoms we didnt get before.  and the sad thing is, its this base specifically, other bases with schools dont get treated like this at all.   We get back to the barracks and get coralled into the lounge area and told to stand at attention.  SDC comes in and tells us that the fleet returnees came cryin and dry snitchin that some students were disrespecting them.  So instead of dealin wit those specific people aaaaaaaagain they decide to take it out on all of us.  we are ordered BACK outside and they march us cadencing and all to the other side of the base and back.  The fleet returnees had to go too which was the only small justice of it all, you wanna cry about some ish well you go wit'em and make'em do right.  So they wanna dry snitch again they can join us in the cold while thinkin we the only ones freezin.  We get back and told we have 10 min to change from utilities to dress blues for inspection.  Im pissed cause before leavin they tell us "open learning is a privilege not a right" so unless we had a direct order f/out proctor to mandatory attend open learning we couldnt leave till they were done torturing us.  After they were done (as usual i pass all my inspections) that left 42 min of open learning left so i decided just not to go.  Today (saturday) i woke  up to a freakin blizzard of snow on the ground.  4" at the least overnight it was ridiculous.  I started not to go out at all but said hey im goin to get food so mine as well go see if schoolhouse open.  Although most tried to tell me it wasnt open i soon found out it was.  Studied a lil that i didnt get to do last night and took my computer test and lab test and scored a 96% and a 100%! yes!  on to another mod and that mod was the 1/2 way point so now im on the downslope runnin to the finish line of graduatin early.  Came back into room , watchin some shows online and relaxin.  Expect to do the same thing tmrw then back to school monday.

Finally got rid of my actual room-roommate.  Thank GOD!  Ugh he was just disgusting and unsanitary.  Got another roommate now and he's a cool dude.  city boy from Kentucky, white boy but he listens to same music as me so we get along great.

Startin to liquidate some assets in possible preparations of a move.  Pool Table is up on the chopping block and some other things may be soon to follow.  I dont want to but theres a 70% chance that even if i did come back to WA we likely wont stay in the house.  Bein bases are in Bremerton , Everett, and NAS Whidbey Island those are just too far of commutes.  Bremerton, the closest is 30miles one-way and requires crossin over the Tacoma Narrows which of course is currently tolled EB Direction.  We are currently seeking to eliminate wifey havin to work or at the least go part-time so she can be the housewife and mom that she has always wanted to be.  It would make things easier come time to relocate as well.  I already plan to give her my GI Bill to further educate herself beyond high school and myself use the Tuition Repayment (which makes all my schoolin free still as if i was usin GI Bill to go on further in my college and get a BA and beyond on the Navy's dime.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd just when i thought there wasnt more to be had before the weekend was over i am now reopening this chapter and addin more.  We get woke up early Sunday am (330hrs) wit a broadcast over the 1mc (intercom) for all hands to muster in the main deck lounge immediately.  Now 30min before that we were woke to a bunch of laughter on the 1mc that sounded like once again someone was hackin into the system and pullin pranks so we questioned whether it was real or not (no broadcasts go out over the 1mc after taps... 2155hrs)  But we all get up and head down in our sweats or whatever we were wearing and muster down in the lounge.  Our Duty section mentor, a 1st class petty officer, was on duty that night and he comes in PISSED. We already know it aint good in the 1st place to be called down in the middle of the night, but for it to be my specific duty section leader is double not good.  He comes in and advises us he's dealing wit 3... 3 new ARI's that night, and on top of that someone calling the main phone line to the quarterdeck and pranking it. not only pranks but he advised the stuff that was bein said if it was a real ship would have it immediately set to the highest level of security and on terrorist watch.  He advised whoever was doin it to fess up now and at best you'd get captains mast.  but if you dont, court-marshalled immediately.  He walks out givin the person the chance to fess up.  he returns and with no one fess'n up adviced an incident report had been turned in and forwarded to NCIS.  and we were dismissed.  Back to our room and pissed ourselves we turn back into our racks, me toss'n and turnin not able to go back to sleep now, chafin still kickin my a** and itchin uncontrollably.

Up around 0930 after finally bein able to sleep, go get chow and back to schoolhouse to study.  Back here, clean the dorm a lil and back here to type the updated installment.  These people here are just unreal.  actin like kids non-stop and gettin the rest of us in trouble because of their childish antics.  I sooooo want out at this point, this base and this barracks has totally ruined the military experience for me and to know that im here till summer makes it all the more worse.

Special RIP goes out to my Aunt Yvonne from Louisanna that passed away a couple weeks ago from a Heart Attack.  Rest in Peace
