Ladies and Gentlemen of the world I'd like to introduce you to the one that will immortalize my name forever through my bloodline.  Marcus Anthony, GRANDson of a Reverend, Child of YHWH.  It's been known knowledge that he'd be born today as it was a scheduled c-section vs VBAC (vaginal birth afer c-section) but things didnt start out as we planned or thought.

 

We were to be at the hospital at 0600hrs but we arrived @ the hospital round 0610 (you know how we do! fashionably late but always worth the wait!) we unload all our luggage through the ER entrance as they are doin alotta construction round the hospital so entry access is limited.  After gettin wifey to the birth center (what a hike!) gettin her in the bed and started on the interrogation i went back to retrieve the trailblazer and park in the garage.  I get back and start unpackin my satellite, mobile phones, tv's, microphones... no im playin lol laptop camcorder, just the lil essentials.. when things started goin sideways.

 

They looked her up the monitor and assisted in turning her to her side.  As they did that the monitor showed his heartrate spikin down into the danger zone from normal.  Initially they paniced and thought maybe he got wrapped on or squished his cord so one nurse instantly became 2, became 4-5! what did i do? PRAY.  all you can do in a time of vulnerability.   Any of you dont yet believe in the power of prayer or turn your nose up at Jesus? holla at your boy we aint gonna fight, we aint gonna debate. im gonna talk... and you gonna LISTEN.  I prayed to my mans upstairs and just asked Him to make sure all was gonna be ok.  They made some phone calls and advised us the birth would be more sooner than later.  They called her doc who was a few miles away enroute.  they had me change into my scrubs (which is like a disposable white painters jumpsuit), booties, mask and hat. asked if i had my camcorder ready and we pretty much were off the the races!  winding, left, left, straight, left, right, sccccccccccccreeech! hit the e-brake onscene of the ER!. hustle and bustle it may as well be somethin outta the NBC show.  I just held up the wall cause wasnt tryin to get stabbed wit a syringe, scalpel, or any other weapon.. i mean tool.  They debrief me about how the procedure will go what i will need to do etc (no im not playin i got debriefed!) i concurred and gave it my blessing to proceed (ok now i am playin) lol  they sat me next to her on a stool at her head next to the anthesiologist (sp) and no camcorder footage was allowed during the surgery only before and after.  so i got a good look around of her and the setup (pics avail!) and sat down in preparation. (they do advise you if you stand and feel sick to sit, if you feel sick sitting to sit on the floor. they dont need 2 people needin to be stiched up lol) the procedure all and all lasted 20min or so from cut open to stitch/staple shut.  The meds they gave her she slipped in & out of awareness and this time they had a large disposable sheet hung mid chest so i couldnt see this time ( watch'em wit my daughter and thats not the most flattering of memories )  as they worked to retrieve'em my lil man is a rebel and a protestor! he fired off the poop and pee on his way out! a lil stressed but a lil normal.  They took'em over to the warmer to start cleanin and stuff and thats where im able to record again so record i did! his 1st cries a lil of the poop and a full head of hair!  and just as wit my daughter im the 1st to hold him! father and son bond straight out the womb. lil wolfman sheesh he's got hair all over his face!  they finished stitchin her up while i held him next to wifey and when we were ret-ta-go she had to hold'em while i followed behind (with camcorder!) 

 

When we arrived back to the room my mother in law was hur with my daughter.  Sidekick flashes goin, camcorder filmin and now laptop whirrin to life Marcus makes his 1st public debut.  As he's makin the rounds amongst family Im tryin to find an internet connection (so i can broadcast to ya'll!) but listenin to the nurses.  They're concerned my wifes protein levels were extremely high as her blood pressure spiked too.  So they put her on some magnesium meds via IV to prevent/avoid her havin a seizure.  Over time family came and went but traffic a minimum since her condition is of concern.  So thats where I am now! broadcastin to you live from valley medical (they offer free wi-fi)

 

Ill be takin my maternity leave at a later point not just immediately as my wife and I wanted to stack our time against each other not concurrently.  Ill holla at ya'll again shortly gotta go see bout my son!
