this is a 2nd attempt at writing this, i had a chapter written out and my son (the lil bad butt) happened to reach up on the leftside of the laptop and hit the right combination of keys cause next thing  know the laptop is grinding and poof the internet explorer screen is giz-one!  all i had typed, missing.  So here we go again!

 

Been a minute since i wrote a chapter been very busy wit my daughter bein in school, work, workin ot, and tha suga cane.  My daughter is LOVING kindergarten. her very very 1st school pic is attached below.  Ive been so active in her schooling i neer thought id be...Mr. Mom!  Im a PTA volunteer in my daughters school and run the student store every wednesday during their lunch.  A couple weeks ago they had a mtg for dad's at the school for a program called "WATCHDOG DADS". Its a program where dads come into the school and make a visual appearance and influence to the kids and almost a sense of security in the aftermath of all these school shootings.  Technically im already an influence like that cause im there wit the kids in the school store that they familiar wit my face around the campus.  In the kindergarten once a daythey have snack that each child is responsible for and i excel her position amongst the popular kids in her class cause i bring in Krispy Kremes hahahaha

 

Come the 1st part of Nov I towed tha suga cane on over to get all the stuff ive been buyin over the summer installed.  The Lewmar anchor windlass and the searchlight were among the several things.  While they had her i had another cigarette lighter port installed in the galley.  I personally before giving her to'em i did some re-routin of some of the stereo wiring and installed an ipod interface behind the deck so on the water we can cruise to nonstop music and tunes and no skippin cds!  I bought a pair of after market pioneer 6 1/2"s for the galley cause you know a brotha has to have some premium soundin music to the one track that i down loaded exclusive for the spring 08 inaugural launch of tha suga cane.... the miami vice theme song! lol ahhahahah  I was just about to get'er back finally wit a $2691 price tag when of couuuuurse they find somethin wrong.  They say the battery charger is not function right so after labor thats another $400. part just came a couple days ago but the guy workin on my boat is on vacation for the week! that just left the door wiiiiide open for trouble.  Weds i go to boaterworld and look around and end up buyin a new garman 440s navi for tha suga cane. $699 after tax was $762.  I take back to OBC and tell'em to "add that install to the tab" i go home and surf around the net till im tired and end up findin a garman 530s for $759 no s/h no tax at sports authority! i was like whaaaaaaat?? next model up for what i just paid for another model!  So mission the next day (yesterday, thurs) was to go back up to boaterworld wit printout in tow and exchange up for the 530s.  called sports authority they didnt have it in story either so i knew they was probably gonna be a problem. i didnt recall seein it in the store when i was there the previous day.  I get there wit my friend in tow (who's tax exempt) to do the exchange and sho nuff, they didnt have the 530s...but what did they have? the 540s for $899 hahahaha sooooo im not feelin like leavin an waitin a week or so to have another come in the mail so i suck it up fork up the addt'l $200 and get the 540s.  Take it on back down and of course theyre allll smiles at me lol. The garmin thats on there now came wit the boat and had a monochrome screen and no fishfinder. it was outta date.  This one has a 5" color screen and navi/fishfinder.  Only thing else i really want for her is a satellite to keep directv reception while out on the water which is $1400 but wifey and I had a baaaaad verbal argument over the boat and her "demand" was that i not get one put on it cause "were not out on the water just to sit and watch tv.  That convo aint over at all so we'll see hat happens in the end.  Im just glad its all gettin done now cause that'll be a month that theyve had suga cane and for that to have been spring/summer time lost on the water id be maaaaaad!

 

Thanksgiving was awesome!  A lil different this year a lot of feuding and sibling rivalry splintered up the families for the 1st time since the merging tradition had started in sept.  But whaaatever the party kept right on movin.  I myself cooked a Fried Cajun Turkey, Baked Ham, Red Beans & Rice, Chicken & Sausage Jumbaliya, Mac & Cheese, Peach Cobbler, Peaches N Cream Pie, and a Banana Pudding.  To top it off, went to the liquor store and bought a bottle of 1998 Dom Pergnon!  That was a pretty penny in itself but sooooo good! Before, during, and afterward we all played on the Wii and the new Wii zapper lol you may recall that chapter from last year round thanksgiving where i braved the weather to be one of the first owners of a wii!  Today it is still very much a centerpiece of family functions and when i have my niece and nephews.  After all took off i headed up to my job and dropped of my annual homemade pies for those who had to work (This year was a pumpkin pie and a peaches n creme pie)  From there a co-worker friend of mine headed east to north bend for midnight outlet mall shoppin!  I looked around but didnt see anything that i thought was a "deal" so when she and her kids were done we bounced back to work to get my truck.  that was around 340am so that only left a lil over an hour before the other mall opened and more shoppin started. so i just stayed in their lot and looked in doorbuster ads but again nothin jumpin off the pages.  One of my other coworker friends was also doin 5 o'clock shoppin so we teamed up and hit the tommy store and boy i tore it up!  alot of stuff was 30% off already but wit the doorbuster coupon it was an addt'l 30% off!  so hand over fist im grabbin stuff for 60% off!! Wifey made out like a bandit and i got some new fly gear and home by 6am! Almost had been up by 24hrs!

 

The truck repairs are 100% complete and nyte ryder is back to normal the house is 1/2 way done.  They finished all the framework and interior sheetrockin but takin forever for the brickwork.  They sayin now cause its too cold the mortar wont settle right so its a shady lookin deal right now.
